This is as good looking buck as you will find. Cheyne drew out for a archery tag on the Book Cliff unit this year and killed this buck. Its awesome when everything works out and you kill the buck you hoped for after putting in several years trying to draw a tag.

This buck is a giant antelope. A real trophy from any state. It will be hard to beat this one in future years but I am sure Curtis will try. Just make sure Milo doesn't beat it Curtis..lol

This picture is from the taxidermy competition at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. The mount took third place. Thanks Paul for letting me show this bull!!

The base was made by Paul's nephew Doug Degelbeck. These pictures dont do it justice it is beautiful.

The back of this elk is cut out of metal by Lloyd Hansen of Highland. He does a great job and it really adds to the mount.

JARROD BAGLEY'S COLORADO BUCK

Jarrod Bagley, Adam Taylor and Mike Eager all archery hunt together and all killed good bucks in Utah and Colorado this year. Mike Eager and Jarrod's other buck will be coming soon.

Notice the velvet hanging down. When Jarrod shot this deer it took off on the death run and went right through a barb wire fence and tore it up. It makes for a good story so Jarrod decided to leave it that way.
Here is one of the bucks that Jarrod shot this year with his bow. Jarrod went to Colorado to kill this buck. He also shot a good one in Utah with his bow which you will see on here shortly. He tried to make it three for the year when we went to Wyoming last fall but he and I came home empty.

PAUL ASTON'S UTAH BULL ELK

This bull will be up at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. I am entering it in the state taxidermy competition. Make sure to stop by and check this bull out and let me know what you think. This bull was taken on the Wasatch Front unit. Great bull Paul!!! Thanks for letting me do the work on him. These are not the finished pictures they will be coming soon.

This is a picture of the bull just after I got it on the form. Notice the thirds on this bull they are 31" long. This bull scores just under 37o but the most impressive thing about this bull is all the different character it has in its rack.

This picture shows the post we put in the bottom of the pedestal form.

This picture shows the detatchable antlers, one of the many things we can provide for you on your mount. When you have to move your elk mount around these detatchables make it a peice of cake.

Here is the form we chose for Paul Aston's bull elk. This form is brand new this year and we really wanted to try it out because we think it will really show off this bulls best characteristics.

ADAM TAYLOR'S GIANT UTAH ARCHERY BUCK

It is awesome when somebody puts in the amount of time that Adam did scouting this buck and then goes out and kills it at first light opening morning of the hunt. This buck will be up at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo if you would like to get a look at it up closer. It will either be in the Utah Record Books booth or Muley Crazy's booth. Way to go Adam!!!!!

The farther along I got with this buck the bigger it seemed to get.

Its time to start mounting the biggest deer we had come in the shop this year. This buck is awesome. Adam spent a enormous amount of time early in the summer watching this buck to determine the best place for his tree stand.

This is a great buck that has lots of character. Anyone would be glad to take this buck with either a bow or a rifle. Ron took it the hard way, with his bow. Congratulations Ron on what we hope is just the first of many animals you bring into Humphries Taxidermy!!

Ron Bartholomew's Colorado Buck-2010

We have now got the cape on the form and stitched it up and have tucked in all the eyes, nose and lips. Keep checking back more pictures are on the way as we continue to finish this great buck.

Here we are with some of the pictures of Ron's awesome buck. This first picture is right after we had attatched the antlers to the form, and installed the septum in the nose.

Jacki Hunter's Antelope-2010

This is not yet the finished product but is to the point where it needs a couple of weeks to dry completly. After two weeks of drying time we can come back and do the finish work on him and really make him look sharp. Congratulations to Jacki , what a great speed goat. Check back in a couple weeks for pictures of the finished product. I know Jacki is dying to get this on the wall of her house.

Now things are starting to come together and it looks like a antelope, but we are not done yet

The cape is on the form and has been sewed down the back.

Once the cape is prepped and ready we pull it onto the form. At this point you wonder how it will ever come together.

One of the first things we do is attach the horns to the form.
